At 12:30 of May  8th, 2016, Venezuela  Central Power Plant #6 600 MW Steam Turbine Generating Unit Seawater  Desulfurization Project, which was contracted to build by our company,  successfully passed the 168 hours trial operation test at one time. During the  trial operation, the system operates well and all the indicators are better than  the contract and designing requirements.

Our company leaders and staff  gave great supports for the project. The staffs who were working in the project  made great efforts to realize the project completion and overcame a lot of  difficulties, such as hot weather in equator and working in overseas. Because of  the time difference, the project team worked in site at day and communicated  with domestic equipment manufacturers and designers at night. Their hard work  not only avoided construction period delay caused by equipment and designing but  also ensured the desulfurization system passed the 168 hours test at the same  time with the units.

Due to the drought in the end of  2015, Venezuela was shorted 70% power in the whole country, which was mainly  depending on hydro power. In 2016 April, the president Maduro had to announced  that the government and state-owned enterprises must reduce their power  consumption to 20%, all the civil servant could paid leave 5 days every week in  the next 2 months; the woman was appealed to stop using electrical blower. This  project provides 40% power for the whole power. It lulled the inner conflicts in  some extents. The Energy Minister attended the PAC certificate awarding ceremony  on May 18th.

The desulfurization system passed  the 168 hours test at the time with units. It is a successful symbol of we  provided a satisfied report for the overseas owner again. Our project staff will  accomplish the following tasks on documents hand over and project  settlement.
